Although I rarely make collages anymore, I used to love doing them because they allowed me to imaginatively make connections between random and unrelated thoughts and ideas. Plus, they seemed to have a kind of realism and “authority” that is often (erroneously) associated with photographs. Out of dozens I completed over several years, only images of eleven survive, and those are the ones you see here.
